Is The Market Picking Up Again?

Hi,
What are people's thoughts on this? I had a letter through from our estate agent yesterday telling us that there is a huge demand at the moment for properties in our area. They told us to ignore all the negative press at the moment about the state of the market because it's actually looking pretty good?
What do you think?
